Korean Scholar attends Interfaith Talks in Univ. of Religions in Qom

Head of the Institute for Religious studies in Korean Vank Wang University held some scholarly meetings at the University of Religions and Denominations in Qom, Iran.

Hawzah News Agency- (Qom, Iran) – Professor Kuang Sou Park, head of the Research Institute for Religious Studies in Korean Vank Wang University has been attending some interfaith meetings with Iranian professors at the University of Religions and enominations in Qom, Iran.

 

He has so far met with the academic members of the university's department for Eastern religions.

 

Head of the University's department for international and scientific cooperation arranged two scientific meetings for the Korean scholar in Qom to address the students as well as the faculty members of the University of Religions on interfaith issues.

 

The Korean scholar, whose area of specialty is Buddhist studies, currently holds the office for Association of History of Religions in Korea; On Monday, he attended a meeting in the University's Shahid Beheshti conference hall to elaborate on his views regarding interfaith dialogue between Islam and Buddhism.

 

It must be noted that Professor Kuang is a renowned global peace activist and his focus is on promoting interfaith dialogues among different religions worldwide. He has also attended many international conferences on peace and interfaith talks.
